hinlab develops integrated hardware and software that capture and analyze vital signs at scale, enabling clinicians to make faster, data-driven decisions. Initially focused on adult monitoring in clinical environments, the company is now expanding into pediatrics with this acquisition, building on years of research, clinical partnerships and product innovation. This addition advances hinlab’s vision of a wearable-enabled platform that supports continuous monitoring from birth to adulthood.
Conceived and led by Jonathan Baut and Edouard Carton, the Gabi SmartCare platform pioneered pediatric care innovation with the first FDA-cleared monitoring solution for children spanning a broad range of developmental stages. It offers continuous vital sign tracking and advanced analytics through a platform that integrates software as medical devices and connects seamlessly with both proprietary and third-party hardware to enhance patient care.
“From day one, our mission has been to close the gap in pediatric monitoring with technology that clinicians trust and parents embrace” said Jonathan Baut, CEO of Gabi SmartCare. In the United States, the company achieved commercial deployment in over 30 hospitals and secured strategic partnerships with key industry players and research institutions.
The acquisition broadens hinlab’s market opportunities, adds specialized pediatric capabilities to its portfolio, and advances its vision for a comprehensive patient monitoring ecosystem. “By combining our strong presence in adult care with the Gabi SmartCare Platform’s recognized leadership in pediatric monitoring, we are creating a unique offering that will help hinlab achieve its goals faster and with greater impact” said Denys-Michel de Larouzière, co-founder and CEO of hinlab.
The acquisition takes effect immediately, with team and product lineup integration already underway. Commercial rollout is expected to accelerate in the coming months.
